In 1963, the JL Coquet company was founded on a site which had been producing Limoges porcelain since 1824. Situated in Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat, on the banks of the River Vienne, just a few miles from Limoges itself, JL Coquet have continued the Limoges traditions while creating innovative designs and unique shapes.
In 2010, J.L Coquet was awarded the « Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant » (« Living Heritage Company » . This award is highly prized in France and goes to companies who use rare, renowned or historic skills which draw on traditional techniques that are representative of a particular geographical area, such as Limoges.
Today, many of JL Coquet’s designs grace the tables of the world’s finest restaurants, such as those of Alain Ducasse.
