Denby Dinnerware was born from this love, with every piece designed for cooking, serving and eating food. Denby pottery is extremely versatile and every item from casserole dish to mug is oven proof, microwave proof, freezer proof and dishwasher proof . Some ranges even feature 'Gourmet' pieces – inspired by modern restaurants, they are extra large for dramatic effect.

With over 5000 glazes developed over 180 years , all harder than steel , the surface of Denby Dinnerware is flawless meaning it washes more easily, but chips less easily. Despite losing virtually everything in Hurricane Katrina, one Denby customer found all her dinner service intact except for one plate.

Named after the village of Denby in Derbyshire, the Denby Pottery Company was founded in 1809 by local business man William Bourne. In recent years, Denby has expanded its use of materials to include bone china, porcelain, glass (wine glasses, tumblers and bowls), metal (cutlery and cooking utensils), wood and textiles. 2010 saw the introduction of the Denby Cookshop range which includes pans, bakeware, cast iron cookware, knives , utensils and gadgets.

Each Denby stoneware piece is unique. It passes through 25 pairs of hands before reaching yours, including a test to make it as comfortable as possible to hold. . With its distinctive designs and sophisticated colours, Denby makes every meal a special occasion.
